The specific objectives of the workshop were to:
- Introduce participants to concepts in Health Policy analysis and to strengthen individual skills and capacity in policy analysis and management within the MOH and selected implementation and regulatory agencies.
- Support the application of the skills in practice.
This course was funded by the Rockefeller foundation as part of support to MOH Ghana to strengthen policy development capacity.
These modules draw upon the Center for Health Policy Health Policy and Policy Analysis training manual modules taught at the School of Public Health of the University of the Witwatersrand. The University of the Witwatersrand course was developed by Lucy Gilson and Ermin Erasmus with inputs from Duane Blaauw, Helen Schneider, Haroon Wadee, Marion Stevens and Barbara Klugman.
