Bridging the gap between researchers and policy-makers in Nigeria
CHEPSAA colleagues from Nigeria, Sweden and South Africa recently published a paper looking at selected studies conducted by the Health Policy Research Group, University of Nigeria, and how findings from these studies influenced policy and managerial practice.
The paper is organised around 4 strategies for getting research into policy and practice: (1) policy-makers and donors seeking evidence from researchers; (2) involving stakeholders in the research process; (3) facilitating policy maker-researcher engagement on how to use research findings to influence policy and practice; and (4) the active dissemination of research findings.
